My Husband’s Version of a Disney Dad’s Best Day Ever at Walt Disney World!

Hello, friends! On my husband’s birthday, we are in the daily grind working our normal 9-5 jobs and trying to make ends meet. Although I would love to take him to the Most Magical Place on Earth for his birthday, I know that our reality requires us to work hard to pay the bills. In the words of Princess Tiana, our next trip to Walt Disney World will “just have to wait a while.” When I wished my husband a happy birthday this morning, I asked him what exactly he would want to do if we were at Walt Disney World today for his birthday. My husband quickly planned out his best day ever at Walt Disney World. It sounded like an amazing itinerary to me, so I would love to share it in case anyone was looking for a dad’s best day ever in the parks.

My husband said that he would start the day off with an early park entry dining reservation to The Crystal Palace, where he would enjoy the best breakfast buffet in all of Disney. Then, he would head to the Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction, Tron Lightcycle Run, for his first ride of the day. He would follow Tron with the Tomorrowland Speedway where we would race the kids towards the finish line. The Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train would be his next stop where he would get on the track with the Snow White’s friends and explore their mining caves. The rest of his favorite Fantasyland rides would follow. Those rides include It’s a Small WorldPeter Pan’s Flight, and Haunted Mansion.

He said that he would probably be hungry again at this point, so he would stop by his favorite Quick Service Restaurant, Columbia Harbor House. Next, he would head over to Frontierland and ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. If Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was ready, he would also ride that. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open later this year in 2024. The hubby would then head on over to Adventureland to sail the seas on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I can just smell it now. Next, he would hop on another boat to navigate the jungle on the Jungle Cruise for a few laughs. He said that at this point, he may need a snack, so he would place a mobile order for pick up to Sunshine Tree Terrace for a Citrus Swirl. Now my mouth is watering. A Citrus Swirl is like frozen orange juice and ice cream swirled together and is probably one of the absolute best snacks in the Magic Kingdom!

After his Citrus Swirl, my husband said that he would head on over to the Spring Roll Cart at the start of Adventureland to grab a Cheeseburger Spring Roll. This perfect spring roll is another one of the absolute best snacks in the Magic Kingdom. If you are going to the parks, I would totally recommend you stopping by the Spring Roll Cart to grab one. You’ll thank me later. Finally, my husband said that he would finish his day in the park by visiting Tomorrowland and taking a ride on Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, a revolving theater that provides the best air-conditioned break at the Magic Kingdom.

Although my husband would expect his birthday to end there, I would most likely book a spot at the Fireworks Dessert Party to give my husband a special seat for his birthday as we enjoy the Happily Ever After fireworks show. I cry every time that I see it. But this is for him, so I will keep it together as we indulge on special treats and drinks during the best firework show in the world! I hope that you have a magical birthday, my love! Until next time, we’ll keep the dream alive!
